Balticon 42

Wed Jun 4, 2008, 1:40 PM
So I went to Balticon 42 in a Marriot hotel during labor day weekend, this being my first convention to go to. My friend Beth lend me her trenchcoat that she got from Hot Topic. When I first tried it on, the sleeves were too tight, so I wanted to choke her for that, but couldn't in the frist place, lol. We went to the con and had a good time, I even got quite a few complements on the treanchcoat, poor Beth was like, "Oh sure, YOU get all the complements with the jacket!" As I was walking around, A guy tells me that he really liked the jacket and gave me a coupon for his stand that he had at the dealer's room. I bought a Scary Trousers shirt and finished having fun at the con. Later that weekend I looked up the guy's website and find out that the guy who gave me the coupon was NEIL GAIMAN himself!!! I meet the guy who wrote the Sandman comics and didn't even know it!! Life is funny like that, isn't it?

Thanks for the fav on my MDG Culverin pic : )

it's awsome man, but a cetain part of it looks similar to another design I had for a mech. the part where the cannons come out from under the arm pits of the mech, where did you get that idea?
:iconcgvickers:
This idea is based off an older design of mine called the MDG Phantom though the weapons are folded back in that image. Past that I was inspired to create a close combat design that had ranged capabilities too so the idea was to design a system where weapons could be deployed for ranged attacks that could easily get out of the way in order for the hands to be free and use the blade weapons, giving it the initiative. Hope that helps : )
:iconaddro:
interesting, my idea was to have robotic arms folded up inside the sholder, and hold a heavy grade laser or partical cannon behind or on top of the shoulders. That way, when needed the folded arms can come out and fire the cannons, while the main arms can still be used....
